What MSG Expereience Is

The MSG Experience is not a one-off workshop or a fixed programme. It is a creative journey shaped by the people in the room. Through studio sessions, podcast workshops, open mic nights, and live projects, participants are supported to explore their voice, ideas, and creativity in a safe, youth-led environment.

What participants can expect

  • A welcoming, non-judgemental creative space

  • Studio and podcast sessions guided by experienced facilitators

  • Opportunities to create, perform, or contribute at a pace that feels right

  • Encouragement, not pressure

  • Collaboration, conversation, and community

What participants work towards

The MSG Experience is designed to be project-led, giving participants something meaningful to work towards over time.

Depending on the focus of the sessions, this may include:

  • Contributing to a collaborative EP, with opportunities to develop and record original material

  • Potential involvement in wider creative projects, such as features connected to Alex in Wonderland

  • Planning, recording, and producing a podcast episode, from concept through to final edit

  • Opportunities to share work through showcases, listening sessions, or live events

Not every participant will take part in every outcome, involvement is shaped by interest, readiness, and suitability.

Who the MSG Experience is for?

The MSG Experience is for young people who are curious about creative expression, storytelling, music, media, and live performance.

No prior experience is required. Participants are supported to engage in ways that feel comfortable, appropriate, and aligned with their interests.

What makes MSG different?

MSG prioritises process over performance.

We focus on creating safe spaces where young people can explore ideas, build confidence, and learn through doing — without being rushed, judged, or compared.

Our work is rooted in lived experience, creativity, and community connection.
